Soft Annealing:

  • Annealing Temperature: 780-800ºC.

  • Cooling: Cool in furnace after holding.

  • Annealing Hardness: Below 230 HBW.

Mechanical Properties (Annealed Condition):

  • Tensile Strength: 730 MPa

  • Yield Strength: 440 MPa

  • Elongation: 26%

  • Charpy Impact: 36/30/28 J

  • Hardness: 170-220 HBW

Quenching & Tempering:

  • Quenching Temperature: 880-920ºC

  • Quenching Medium: Oil, polymer, or salt bath

  • Quenching Hardness: 53-55 HRC

  • Tempering Temperature: 200-250ºC
