S1 / 60WCrV8 is a shock resisting cold work tool steel with high toughness, good wear resistance, and excellent resistance to impact loading. It is commonly used for making chisels, punches, shear blades, dies, and other tools that require high strength and durability. S1 tool steel is available in round bar, flat bar, plate, and forged block, and can be supplied in annealed or hardened & tempered condition.
